Angels' Patrick Sandoval exits the game due to forearm tightness
Los Angeles Angels left-hander Patrick Sandoval exited Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers after 2 1/3 innings due to tightness in his left forearm.
Sandoval showed discomfort after walking Shohei Ohtani in the third inning. He was seen shaking his arm and flexing his elbow as manager Ron Washington and a trainer rushed to the mound.
Following a brief discussion, Sandoval left the game and was replaced by Hunter Strickland.
In his 16th start of the season, Sandoval allowed no runs, two hits, and two walks, striking out one batter. He entered the game with a 2-8 record and a 5.24 ERA.
Over his six-year career, all with the Angels, Sandoval has a 19-45 record with a 4.03 ERA.
